On the edge of Lake Sztynorckie, below the baroque walls of Steinort Palace in Sztynort, something special happens every summer. Sea shanties, live music and a relaxed, festive spirit draw people looking for more than a typical tourist attraction. This guide covers the 2026 season programme and everything worth knowing before you go.
Other summer cultural events in the area
Masuria is full of cultural events in summer. Węgorzewo (10 km) organises lakeside fetes, sailing regattas and open-air events. Giżycko (22 km) is a fortress town with a regular summer concert programme at Boyen Fortress plus folk music festivals and fairs. Kętrzyn (near Wolf's Lair, 17 km) holds summer historical events related to the 20 July 1944 assassination attempt. Mikołajki (70 km) – Masuria's capital – buzzes every summer with concerts and regattas. Staying at Poza Zgiełkiem gives you access to all these events within an hour's drive.
Plan your musical evening
The easiest way to follow the Sztynort concert programme is through local Facebook profiles and the Schloss Steinort Foundation website. Tickets sell out quickly in season – worth buying in advance online. Evenings can be cool even in summer – bring a light jacket.
